Which should you choose?
Choose the DIY kit
Pick the kit if building is part of the fun, you want to choose every visible part, or you want the lowest price. The small parts are already soldered, but you still need a soldering iron for the diodes, sockets, dial and controller.
Choose fully assembled
Pick the assembled version if you want a finished pad that works out of the box. Each one is built and tested before it ships.
You verify a DIY build yourself. If you are new to soldering and want the lowest-risk option, choose the assembled version.
NRF52840 clone vs. Nice!Nano V2
Both controllers use the same chip, so Bluetooth, battery and every feature work the same.
Choose the clone to keep costs down. Choose the Nice!Nano V2 if you prefer the original board and its larger dedicated community. Day to day, they work the same in MinimalPad.
The controller doesn’t change how you set up or configure the pad, on a Mac or in a browser.
